CBSE Class 10 Science Question Paper is of 80 marks and internal assessment is of 20 marks (including practicals). The Entire syllabus as defined by CBSE Board for 2020 is divided into five units. The five units are as follows: Chemical substances – Nature and Behaviour (25 marks), World of Living (23 marks), Natural Phenomena (12 marks), Effects of Current (13 marks) and Natural Resources (7 marks).
The unit Chemical Substances – Nature and Behaviour unit consists of topics around Chemical Reactions, Acids, Bases and Salts, Metals and Non-metals, Carbon Compounds and Periodic classification of Elements.
The unit World of Living consists of topics around Life processes, Control and Co-ordination in plants and animals, Reproduction and Heredity and Evolution.
Natural Phenomena unit consists of topics around Reflection, Refraction, Lenses, Eye vision and its correction.
Effects of current and Magnetic effects of current form the fourth unit.
Natural Resources unit consists of topics around Sources of Energy, Our Environment and Management of Natural Resources
