ICSE Class 9 Science School Prelim, Sample and Chapter-wise Question papers
There are three subjects in ICSE Class 9 Science:
TestPaperz has curated previous Year ICSE Class 9 Science ( Physics, Chemistry and Biology) School Question Papers and Sample papers for students to test their learning before the exams. Download these Question papers free by clicking below:
Each of these subjects have a separate Question paper and account for 100 marks each.
ICSE Class 9 Science (Physics) Question Paper 1 is of 80 Marks ( two hour duration) while the internal assessment is of 20 Marks
ICSE Class 9 Science (Chemistry) Question Paper 2 is of 80 Marks ( two hour duration) while the internal assessment is of 20 Marks
ICSE Class 9 Science (Biology) Question Paper 3 is of 80 Marks ( two hour duration) while the internal assessment is of 20 Marks
All three ICSE Class 9 Science Question papers have two sections. Section 1 is compulsory and has short answer questions on the entire syllabus. Section 2 has large answer questions and gives a choice to the students.
ICSE Class 9 Science (Physics) Question Paper 1 covers the following:
- Measurements and Experimentations
- Motion in One Dimension
- Laws of Motion
- Heat and Energy
- Electricity and Magnetism
Students opting for ICSE Class 9 Science (Physics) Paper 1 will be asked to perform experiments as part of the internal assessment. The practical’s can be on topics which are not part of the syllabus but theoretical knowledge will not be required. The students are expected to take readings, tabulate them and present them in a methodical form. They might be expected to depict these readings on graphs.
ICSE Class 9 Science (Chemistry) Question Paper 2 covers the following:
- The Language of Chemistry
- Chemical Changes and Reactions
- Atomic Structure and Chemical Bonding
- The Periodic Table
- Study of the First Element- Hydrogen
- Study of Gas Laws
- Atmospheric Pollution
Students opting for ICSE Class 9 Science (Chemistry) Paper 2 will be expected to perform practicals to observe the result of reagents and/or of heat on substances given to them as part of internal assessment. The exercises will be easy and they will be expected to identify certain gases.
ICSE Class 9 Science (Biology) Question Paper 3
- Basic Biology
- Flowering Plants
- Plant Physiology
- Diversity in Living Organisms
- Human Anatomy and Physiology
- Health and Hygiene
- Waste Generation and Management
Students opting for ICSE Class 9 Science (Biology) Paper 3 will be given experiments to test their capability to make correct observations from different specimens of plants and animals s part of internal assessment.
