ISC Class 11 Maths Course is divided into three sections. Section A is compulsory for all candidates. Students have an option of attempting questions from either section B or C. The total question paper is of 100 Marks.

Section A

• Sets and Functions: Sets, Relations & Functions, Trigonometry, Angles and Arc lengths, Trigonometric Functions, Compound and Multiple angles, Trigonometric Equations.

• Algebra: Principle of Mathematical Induction, Complex Numbers, Quadratic Equations, Quadratic Functions, Sign of quadratic, Inequalities, Permutations, Factorial Notation, Fundamental principle of counting, Combinations, Binomial Theorem, Significance of pascal’s triangle, Sequence and Series, Arithmetic Progression, Geometric Progression, Arithmetico Geometric Series, Special sums.

• Coordinate Geometry: Straight Lines, Basic concepts of Points and their coordinates, Circles.

• Calculus: Limits and Derivatives

• Statistics and Probability

Sections B:

• Conics Section: Cone, ellipse, parabola, hyperbola etc.

• Introduction to three-dimensional geometry

• Mathematical Reasoning

Sections C:

• Statistics: Combined mean, standard deviation, median, quartiles, deciles, percentiles and Mode of grouped and ungrouped data.

• Correlation Analysis: Definition and meaning of covariance, Coefficient of Correlation by Karl Pearson

• Index Numbers and Moving Averages
