ICSE Class 10 Physical Education Board, Sample and School Prelims Question Papers 2025
ICSE Class 10 Physical Education course 2025 objectives are:
To understand the importance of having good health, stamina and efficiency through physical fitness
To learn and understand the requirements for healthy living, nutrition, physical exercise and free from tension and stress
Understand the importance of developing good posture and physical poise
To be aware of leisure activities and entertainment activities
To create opportunity to develop a feeling of pride and mutual loyalty through sportsmanship, social skills etc
There will be a written exam of ICSE Class 10 Physical Education of 100 marks and duration of two hours. Internal assessment will be of 100 marks.
ICSE Class 10 Physical Education syllabus has two sections:
Section A covers:
- Health and Hygiene: It covers knowledge on Personal Health, Community Health, Diseases, defects and injury.
- First Aid: It covers knowledge on how to treat the cuts and abrasions in case of accidents on the sport field. It also covers knowledge on treatment of sprains, cramps and cases of drowning.
Section B: Students are required to be aware of rules, skills required and technique fitness training of any two of the following games: Cricket, Football, Softball, Hockey, Handball, Volleyball and basketball
ICSE Class 10 Physical Education internal Assessment is done both by the school teacher and the external examiner. Both award 50 marks each thus a total of 100 marks.
The internal examiner i.e the school teacher assesses the candidate on two of the following games/activities of his choice:
Athletics, badminton, basketball, boxing, cricket, dancing, football, gymnastics, handball, hockey, judo & karate, kabaddi, Kho-kho, softball, swimming, Lawn tennis, table tennis, volleyball, wrestling and yoga
The External Examiner assesses the students in two parts: Physical Efficiency Test Specialisation Test
The external examiner is responsible for 50 marks.
