Business studies as a course is introduced in Class 11 and 12 CBSE as formally commerce is taught after first 10 years of school. Due to this reason it is essential that the instructions in these subjects should be given in a way that students are able to grasp a proper understanding of the basic fundamentals, principles and practices of Trade and industry which are part of the business. Students should also be able to appreciate the relationship of business with society.

It teaches students how to look at and interact with the business ecosystem. The course acknowledges the fact that business influences as well as gets influences by Social, Legal, political and economic factors. The course helps students to understand that business is an integral part of the society and helps them develop an understanding of many ethical and social issues.
Hence if one has to gain fundamental knowledge of the business world, a course of Business studies in CBSE class 11 and 12 would be useful. It gives an understanding to the students of advances academic and work options and tries to bridge the gap between school and work.
