Business studies as a course is introduced in Class 11 and 12 CBSE as formally commerce is taught after first 10 years of school. Due to this reason it is essential that the instructions in these subjects should be given in a way that students are able to grasp a proper understanding of the basic fundamentals, principles and practices of Trade and industry which are part of the business. Students should also be able to appreciate the relationship of business with society.
Business is a dynamic process. It ensures that technology, Natural resources and human resources along with their initiatives work together and serve the societal needs. Students need a comprehensive study of the organization and management of business processes and their interaction with the environment to understand the structure in which a business operates.

CBSE Class 12 Business studies course prepares learners to analyse, supervise, assess and respond to internal and external changes which effect business. It teaches students how to look at and interact with the business ecosystem. The course acknowledges the fact that business influences as well as gets influences by Social, Legal, political and economic factors. The course helps students to understand that business is an integral part of the society and helps them develop an understanding of many ethical and social issues.
Hence if one has to gain fundamental knowledge of the business world, a course of Business studies in CBSE class 11 and 12 would be useful. It gives an understanding to the students of advances academic and work options and tries to bridge the gap between school and work.

To introduce business attitude and help gain skills among students to pursue academics at an advanced level or follow a professional life including self-employment.

To create interest in business theory and practices of trade and industry

To enable students to learn how to manage the operations and resources of business
To prepare students to act as an effective and responsible customer, employer, employee and last but not the least as the citizen of this country.
